AMY SAARI
Voice and Beginning Piano
Amy is a lifetime vocal musician with Masters degrees in Choral Conducting and Composition from Bowling Green State University. She has directed the Motor City Chorale for seven years and served as section leader of Rackham Symphony Choir. She is currently the Music Director at Grace Episcopal Church in Mt. Clemens. She teaches voice and beginning piano.
Amy's specialty is to develop singers' confidence, as well as to center them in good vocal habits. Other teaching areas include theory, beginning composition, sight reading, and beginning piano.

VAUGHN KLUGH

Vaughn Klugh does it all with style and panache. He is a professional guitarist versed in jazz, classical, pop, and contemporary styles. He is an accomplished composer and arranger and an experienced instructor, having taught at many jazz camps and seminars in the USA and overseas, including the University of Windsor, School of Music.
Mr. Klugh has performed, arranged for and/or taught with renowned artists including Marcus Belgrave, Marvin Gay, Gary Burton, Hank Jones and Tommy Flanagan. He has performed in Michigan with a number of groups and shows, including The Real Deal (14 piece big band), Tapology (international tap dancing review), the Motown Musical “Now That I Can Dance,” Blues Rhythm Musical, Marcus Belgrave Trio, Norman Thrasher, Mama’s Lickin Stick Clarinet Ensemble, Teddy Edwards Symphony at Montreaux Detroit Jazz Festival, Harold McKinney Group, “Real Tones” and Johnny Trudell Orchestra. He has been a featured artist on Detroit Live Jazz, WDET FM - Ed Love Show on National Public Radio.
Vaughn Klugh’s CD’s include, “Two For the Road,” “Wendel Harrison & Vaughn Klugh Duo” and his most recent “Choose Love.” He is the author of “T.H.A.T.” - the Theory, Harmony, Arranging Techniques system.
Mr. Klugh is a graduate of Berklee College of Music, Boston, MA, with a Professional Diploma in arranging and composition. He studied jazz and classical guitar under Mark French, William Levitt, William Bresnahan, Pat Matheny and Wilson Warren and was an understudy of Herb Pomeroy: Linear Writing, Duke Ellington Style Arrangement & Jazz Composition.
Educational background: Graduated from Berklee College of Music majoring in arranging & composition, and guitar technical training.
Post graduate understudy instructors: Herb Pomeroy, Donald Byrd, Ted Pease, William Levit (author of Berklee Guitar Series).
Extensive worldwide professional experience with top musicians in the industry.
Klugh is from Detroit and has lived in Japan over 12 years, and off and on throughout Europe.
Over 50 years of teaching experience.
Recent activity include: 2011- 2020 for 8 years as associate professor @ University of Windsor.
Private music instructions at Wayne Music- E. Pointe, Mi.
Klugh offers classes for developing guitar techniques for: Plectrum and Classical guitar. Sight reading classes.
All classes include applies Theory, Harmony and Arranging Techniques. (T.H.A.T)

JONI CRAWFORD
Voice and Piano
Joni is the school's founder, having dedicated many years to teaching and assisting young people in music. She is an accomplished vocal performer, both as a soloist as well as a choral singer, having worked under the baton of Suzanne Acton in the Rackham Symphony Choir.
Joni specializes in empowering new and experienced musicians in vocal and piano performance, with a special dedication to the growth of young people.
